Linking ejectors with liquid ring vacuum pumps means that the
advantages of both systems can be combined. Such systems can be installed
in a barometric as well as a non-barometric manner, in a horizontal
or vertical position.
Advantage:
- Separation of the process- and
cooling water flows
- Short start-up time without a start-up ejector
- Possibility of draining condensate
from the pre-connected condenser
Disadvantages:
- Possibility of pollution on the process- and cooling water side
- Increased maintenance and repairs expenditure(mechanical pump)
- Possibility of material damages due to cavitation(mechanical pump)
- Limited possibilities in the choice of materials(mechanical pump)
