Steam jet vacuum ejectors are used in multiple stages for
suction pressures of less than 100 mbar to achieve minimum
consumption of the motive steam. Condensers are arranged
between the individual stages to condense the motive steam flow
and the condensable components in the suction flow of the
pre-connected stages. Ejectors and inter-condensers suitably
adjusted to the suction pressure and cooling water temperature
lead to very low motive steam consumption figures in such multi-
stage steam jet vacuum systems.
